+1 for moving away from the clutches of money lenders. Though, the situation isn't that simple. Money lenders often accept undeclared assets as collateral. So for some people (the uneducated or the unscrupulous) money lenders are a boo

Not entirely impossible. A fixed mount for the camera (such as a tripod) would be able to get such an image, assuming steady flying conditions. In 8 seconds, stars would not leave much of a trail on a fish-eye lens (since the field of view

While this is great for certain types of attacks, I wouldn't be surprised if the really smart attacks try to fly under the radar, by distributing traffic and activity. Does this app somehow help detect that?

You guys are missing the fact that current windows are losing all of the energy incident on them. 5% is infinitely better than 0%.

Wasn't following Sandstorm.io closely, until today. I am liking the technology and philosophy too. Do you think this could scale down to desktops as well? There could be two ways of doing it: 1. Have user locally install apps-with-web-

I am excited to hear "sandboxing" in this context. Does rust have sandboxing by any chance on the roadmap?

I meant to say "bind data to elements". It's been a while since I programmed in OpenGL so the terminology is shaky. I saw your other answer below too. I am not able to visualise how the duplicate data could affect caching pos

Just for fun, what would be the optimal strategy to play this game? If you have x amount to spare, you could either put all x in one round, or spend x/N in N rounds. I guess, the probability of winning might be optimal for some N >

There are some cases where you can't share vertices. For example, flat shading with face normals. So now you need to put that normal data into every vertex and you have to duplicate vertices as well, which is 9x data for a very common

The craziest thing I found in OpenGL API was that there was no way to bind data to a primitive. You have to repeat it for every vertex of the primitive, which sometimes also means that you can't share vertices between primitives. This

Java has a very good sand-boxing mechanism (AcessController), which helps limit the effect of bugs in libraries. Firstly, the memory model is highly abstract; no pointer arithmetic and type-less references. To mess with the memory, the thr

Leave aside, terms and conditions. These days, the Play-Store doesn't even show all the permissions requested by an app! The Internet permission, arguably one of the critical ones, doesn't even register!

One solution could be to obfuscate the design when it goes to fabrication and then check the amount of time it takes to fabricate. This assumes that obfuscation is possible in logic design, and insertion of back-doors in an obfuscated desig

Do you mean internal discussions? What is the main reason to not support voting? Priorities are a necessity for large projects. One could use a full-fledged issue tracker, but having an integrated one in GitHub would be miles better.
