That has not been the case everywhere I have worked. Also not anywhere I have been as an outside contractor. Perhaps it's the industry. Anyway, all I've seen is a bunch of "Cover Your Ass" and reluctance to make decision

Yes, but to be a new implementation shouldn't I be able to install it without already needing Common Lisp? For instance, I can install SBCL without already having another Common Lisp implementation right?

I don't understand. This looks like an implementation of lisp functions on top of an already existing Common Lisp implementation.

Do 9-5 jobs with paid lunch exist? Everything I've seen is either 8-5 or 9-6 or some variation of that. Heck, where I am now is 9 hour days plus they encourage you to take lunch, 7-5. Half-day Friday though.

I admit I just skimmed the article, but I don't see a requirement that the project you choose to talk about be a solo effort. I think the point of the question is to find people who are passionate about their profession (in this case p

I've been poking around the site and there was a mention of running in the browser. I have been unable to find any examples. Does anyone see any? I'm thinking of something modifying form text boxes or something simple like that.

Maybe I don't understand, but why even have messages retained on the server at all? Couldn't the local app keep them stored on the phone? Also, does anyone know if they're encrypted at all. In this day and age isn't that

This was something I really loved during my time in Common Lisp. This was a gem that I was hoping would make it into Clojure, but I think around version 1.3 they decided to abandon the idea and add a library to "make anything throwable
