I am fascinated by this project. What are the chances that this could become a real world usable replacement for chrome or Firefox witching the next couple of years?

Oh yes! We use pypy for many batch jobs deployed in production. We switched to pypy several years back and that allowed us to push a great deal more batch jobs through per window with zero code changes.

Nice. Is there something similar for bootstrap?

Well, impossible to say without context. But maybe it is more interesting what you should do afterwards. What did you do afterward?

I will definitely check out more about Nextcloud. But I fear it is a bit of a huge service to host an maintain.

Simplenote seems like a really cool project. And the clients seem to be FLOSS. However, I was not able to find info on how to self host the backend. Is this not possible?

I use restic for everything Linux or windows except for Mac’s. There I use kopia. It just works. There is not much to mess up really. Just keep your password safe and be sure to test your backups.

I don’t know. But I am curious why you expect excessive chargebacks? What is your business?

I don’t think they would go for that. Airlines do not want customer to think about the possibility of a crash at all.

It is down for me. It seems you meant to include a reference to their status page. However, the link was not included. Anyone know the link to their status page?

It is the same (defunct) company, though. So, I would say this is highly relevant.

I use restic to back up my NAS to Hetzner storagebox. Also, you can probably tier your data. Maybe you don’t need same level of backup for all your 40TB.

Thanks for making this. I really like it. Do you have plans to monetize it? I hope not. Because this is a thing that should exist in the world. I would much rather support this via donations than ads or anything else.
