Yes, it’s possible to build equity this way, but man there are much better ways. All that assumes it costs nothing to move which is ridiculous; especially if you’re the seller. In Canada, the seller always pays the realtor fees for both buy

Jesus, I got uncomfortable just reading this. 21 at night would be insufferable for us (we’re in western Canada). 17 at night, 19.5 during the day is as hot as our house has ever been in winter; though with a new baby I suspect that might c

Slight nitpick: the full phrasing Apple uses is “ main logic board”, so they’re actually (somewhat) in line with the conventional phrasing other vendors use.

Worth mentioning that I’ve lived in Alberta my whole life and I don’t remember a utilities outage lasting as long as 1/2 a day, so not sure a payout after that length of time would make sense anyways. Our neighbourhood had an outage la

Oh for sure, I’m not saying it’s not feasible but I think it’s not unreasonable that people would want this feature to work/sync across multiple devices, and that’s where the much higher complexity comes in since syncing that data reli

Can’t speak to the rest of it, but Marco has said that he’s working on something on the “listen history” front after tons of request from people asking for something à la Spotify Wrapped. The trick is that he’s very adamantly (and correctly

Perhaps it’s an English translation thing, but note that I didn’t use “seduce”, intentionally. But yes, people who are more charismatic/friendly/charming/whatever other word, will make more in tips. Which is easier to do with

Sounds like you’ve never waited tables! Two-tops are the best for earnings, both for the restaurant and the server. Easier for a charismatic career server to separately charm three couples on dates than a single table of six all at once. An

MagSafe was introduced in 2006 and has had exactly three iterations. “Every few years” is a bit of a stretch.

They pretty clearly state the disconnect is “implemented in hardware alone” about three times in the support article, how would that not be a physical implementation?

There actually is a physical microphone disconnect for new Mac laptops (~2019 and later). When the clamshell is closed, the mic’s connection to the MLB is physically severed. I actually just learned this exists on new iPad models too, with

“You don’t get to choose what other people call you” What? That’s literally the definition of a legal name change, which happens all the time. If someone continued to, intentionally, refer to my wife’s maiden name after she went through t

Admittedly this is anecdata, but here’s my take: I’ve been a Mac service technician at an Apple Store for almost a decade. I’ve had an extremely competitive wage for the entire time vs other jobs of this level, I get RSUs, and a very comp

Your trash analogy doesn’t hold up because trash becomes “public” once it’s on the street which isn’t part of your property. “Publicly visible spot on my property” is a meaningless phrase; it’s still my property, and I’m legally (here at le

Never did heroin, but my experience was that quitting drugs was way easier than quitting smoking. I’ve never had the urge to take drugs again even once, but I miss smoking all the time.

This is for sure a really hard question to answer, but I think we can agree that a 2017 blog post does not constitute the “idea results” for this query, no? FWIW I was a beta tester, and (mostly) enjoyed my experience, but having this as a

Apple’s implementation uses SMS as a backup. Thinking is probably that if you only have one device, it’s usually your phone; so you would have been able get your 2FA code via text. It’s not easily discoverable though, so easy for you to mis
