Before you do that, just try to build all the modules you use with webpack into a simple barebones app and see if your app works.

I find lots of modules that won't build with Webpack and a very solid chunk of my available development time is spent trying to diagnose and fix problems caused by modules that won't build under Webpack. I recommend against it.

Sounds like you're using the wrong framework. May I ask what framework you have in mind with those comments? I have to say I am very careful about how I budget and spend my learning time. I do not have much time so I make a big decisi

I don't buy it at all. Of course frameworks take alot of effort to learn. But the point is that you'll pay an up front cost in time and learning and get a much bigger payoff further down the track in productivity and possibility.

Also it had a 24 bit address space when really the industry was ready for 32 bit and I have a vague recollection that there were other 32 bit CPUs available at that from other manufacturers (maybe Motorola?) but Intel was lagging. The 24 bi

What language was Sybase written in? Back then alot of that stuff was C. Hard to imagine Microsoft continued writing SQL server in C.

Well presumably SQL server is written in C++ talking to Windows APIs. The Windows APIs aren't present on Linux except through projects like Wine and presumably that is not the basis of this code.

It's a real pity that we feel we don't have the ability to make decisions against "the inevitable" where that outcomes aren't good for people and that we should "deal with it".
