Did not know this. I figured all those wifi connections I get near stoplights were slurping up mac addresses to track people. I wonder if it generates a mac address every single time or just upon first interaction with a wifi network it doe

Totally your choice, but I'd look at and offer subsidizing their loans for X years (10?) instead of just funding it up front.

I personally wouldn't bet on rackspace being around long term and I wouldn't start today building email on their platform. We've dealt with rackspace for years, we're mostly off of it now.

Helium is really hard to store for long periods due to the molecule size. It will permeate almost all containers pretty rapidly.

Yeah in PHP, unless you have some opcode caching that ignores file modification time, you simply need to just change the file and it immediately starts running the new code. There isn't a compiled runtime generally that persists across

Well, they can only make so many cars. If 10000 are in transit, then that's 10000 they can't book as sold. It is interesting though that they can't count these as sales, as many companies do many things with deferring sales,

Trucking pays for fuel costs in addition to a road use tax I believe, I know they tear up roads, especially overloaded dump trucks etc, but without an alternative there’s really no better option. If and when they go electric, then you’ll st

I'd seriously look at retiring on a cruise ship. Might not be as cost effective, but it would give you a ton of stuff to do. I could probably live on a cruise ship for less than what it costs me to live.

Knex is really nice. I use objection which extends it for orm stuff. The insert graph features are pretty neat. I definitely don’t use all it has to offer.

I wasn't getting 2fa notifications either, haven't tried lately but switched to google authenticator as a precaution against this happening in the future.

Some people don't want to sit on the couch and do nothing. It's something that a lot of people do, perhaps way too much, but I wouldn't consider it a requirement or given in a particular day.

I don't use laravel anymore, but I had a live template that would generate getters and setters that wrote to set_attribute. As long as you maintained the convention of doing this, you could use autocomplete with getters and setters to

Mid size biz like the biz to biz approach. Agencies generally absorb a lot of the budget for creative directors, market research, etc and don’t leave a lot for actual development. Ideally you get in the position where you’re directly affect

Some builders have their in office agent, depending on the state, that agent will represent both sides of the transaction in that case, so you aren't saving any money by not having an agent.

This entirely depends on the real estate agent. For the company I work for, a decent amount of purchases are made from afar, where an agent really helps with finding and buying a property. Some of our purchases come through with "pocke

You can go really far with node. I'm a node js and Vue dev these days, but I think we will end up switching over to React for public facing stuff due to ease of hiring and getting devs to work in it. I like sticking to one language, it
