One reason I see is that there just is not enough of good enough content and people seem to want to obscure things just because they want to hide the fact that there is not anything worth checking / consuming.

No it is not. Not even chromebooks are a thing. Android is a thing and if they try enough the might turn it into a desktop alternative.

To me it sounds like a DSL created by much more powerful language would be really better than a completely separate prog. language. But if he wants to do it why not. It's just at some point a programming language per se will be used &#

Right choice if you want to do it for money (at the moment you never know what's ahead). You basically have 2 options in my opinion 1) technologies in demand ( js,java,c#,mobile, rails, python, sql etc) 2) do it for fun (pick whatever you

Protectionism in some areas is fine. I do not know what would be the correct solution though. It is understandable for China to want their local corps to build base in china ( like wechat, baidu and others ). But at some point they should e

China and Russia are here to stay. The US and the EU needs to make sure that our companies can fairly compete on their markets.

Kinda infuriating when people assume sw is dead because there is no longer hype around it. Vagrant is still alive and used. It still has its warts but it's a stable piece of software. Not long ago they released 2.0.

The old dropbox for me had a spectacular unique design and i really loved it. The design of the file browser before the previous one was imho the best. I feel like this is a huge step backwards and if the seamless experience of using dropbo

So what is it there to save USA from dystopian future ? Is it social democracy a la western europe. I kinda doubt that. I do not think that is sustainable either. For it to work you need rich consumers (usa, china ) and extraction of wealth

I did not even want to comment but I have to. You are very xenophobic towards americans. Every developed rich nation has this attitude when it comes to outsourcing and offshoring. But all of it is just anecdotal evidence (it goes both ways)
