“ It’s going to take most of our lifetimes to redo what’s going to get undone in the next four years,” Ault says Honest question; why does everyone seem to assume the Trump administration will only be another 4 years? Is it hard to imagine

Hot take: we were already glue. We take in ideas / directives from product people and turn that into instructions for a computer to use to build a software package. The only difference in a “vibe coding” world is that now these “instru

One thought I’ve had many times (open to feedback on this philosophy) Estimates for completion dates in software should be given as a probability distribution instead of a date. Instead of: I estimate the release will be shipped by 03/

Honest question: are there people who know about Lucid and don’t consider them nicer cars than Teslas? Tesla doesn’t make a car as nice as the Air Sapphire… I don’t think they could if they wanted to. So they’re forced to stay in the less e

Engineering is just means to an end. In most cases the end is: make money. That typically involves minimizing labor (engineering / R&D) costs. That’s why you see solutions implemented in a quick / scrappy way even though it’s

Thank you for this post! I get too pessimistic sometimes but this helped me see things from a different perspective today. Kudos.

Does anyone have evidence that these so called “idiots” have fewer grandchildren as a result of being scammed? If not, this “natural selection” mechanism isn’t working

This bootcamp grad now works on AI (LLM augmented services as well as traditional ML models) on a daily basis at a big tech company.

I find it less comical. I don’t think my friends or family care that much about democracy… they just want their guy in charge.

How is this different from RAG using a search API? I didn't get their blurb about this being a standalone fine-tuned model.

Agreed; as someone working on a GenAI app in a big tech company, the main lesson I've learned is the gigantic delta between the effort required to make a intriguing prototype and a true, production ready, scalable, customer-facing, use

What do we even mean by "AI engineer" these days? Are you an AI engineer if you spend months on end writing complex langchains, building datasets, evaluating them, and deploying them to prod? What if you did all that without havin
