And nowadays with Claude you can spin up clusters of vps machines in a few hours. All bare Debian without anything except nginx and the apps. Mass configuring without any tools using only Claude. Works perfectly. The costs saved without all

What is it with American companies that eventually always try to sell crap and low moral products/services. As if the people are educated in luring people into traps to only benefit themselves.

Like with all new products. It takes time to let the market do its work. See if from a positive side. The demand for more and faster and bigger hardware is finally back after 15 years of dormancy. Finally we can see 128gb default memory or

For the sake of staying a computer nerd I decided to put all my notes in a private GitHub repo with help of a local 5b Gemma4 LLM. Is working extremely well. It doesn't matter in what format i type. I Use opencode for entering new note

I am doing something similar with https://github.com/holoduke/myagent This project is actually some autonomous system that reads papers and tries to implement them. A fun experiment I would say.

Or write a local Gemma4 tool mcp for simple tool operations. Works seriously good. Basic tool use like command lining, greps, seds etc is milisec delay with about 100 tokens/sec on my m4.

It's not. Maintainance is easy now. We have at least 200 legacy products in various old languages. Never it has been easier to work on those since Claude came into the picture. The argument I hear about support being expensive is not t

Yea. I agree. In our case we are creating short news articles of max 3 or 4 paragraphs. The texts are translated in multiple passes into various languages. We use a simple system prompt that instructs the llm to ensure simple authentic lan

I spend full 20x the week quota in less than 10 hours. How is that possible? Well try to mass translate texts in 30 languages and you will hit limits extremely quick.

Nah. Everybody is talking about ai. Everybody is using it. It's by far the most popular new tool human beings are using currently. As popular as mobile phones or spoons. And maybe as disruptive as the steam engines. AI companies are b

Well. The 5090ti is significantly faster than a 1080ti. It has 92b vs 12b transistors. That's the 10 years difference you mention. 10 years before the 1080ti we had the 8800 ultra with 600m transistors. So yeah you are a bit right. Bu

The problem with agents is that it is currently way too expensive. 100 times more expensive maybe. Another big issue is the lack of interactivity with an agent. Therefor for now agentic development is only viable from your own machine. And

People still believing in AI being a temporary thing are the same ones refusing to get a mobile phone in the late 90s. Stating it wasn't needed and just a nice to have.

Can't we just use claude desktop / cli to generate an invoice. In my experience if you provide some skills and access to some data it can generate pretty consistent invoices. No other tools needed at all.
