Realistically there are only about 1 million bitcoin users in total worldwide. It is still very early days. We are aiming to make OpenBazaar a common ecommerce standard using Bitcoin that will allow people to build trustworthy marketplaces

You have the choice between direct payment transactions which is more risky and should only be used between known parties and then there is a 2 of 3 party multisig escrow transaction that allows a moderator to be an arbitrator for problems

Ratings are included but the weights are possibly not adjusted correctly. It's a work in progress. One man project as well at this time, hence the request.

Javascript. Learn it asap. HTML obviously and then use what you know already for SQL and Java/C++ to code the backend. You already have a lot of the framework for it having done application development.

I haven't done much research, but I do know of other very legit sites that do import Netflix ratings. Jinni.com is one example. Thanks for the heads up.

I'm working on creating a Netflix importer option that could bring in all of your ratings. That might help a little in that. Bulk ticket discounts at this point.
