I don't use OneNote for long standing documentation (maybe one tab is a cheat sheet). I just make a tab for each ongoing work project/client/etc, and paste stuff in there. Text from emails as a todo list which I think write c

Do they make more money if I click on a few SEO spam sites full of Adsense, and page through a few pages of Google results, before finding the answer or possibly giving up - or if I find and click on the top result?

It's not just pain, it’s thoughts too (which can also be related of course). I’m someone who will overthink which leads to worries that don’t need to exist and bring no benefit. This is why it helps me socialise, I’m far more likely to

There is a saying “first cab off the rank” or “first off the mark” (as in running races) so it may be a shorter version of something like that.

They do that in AU / VIC for the EV road use tax, you have to upload a photo. I don't see the problem, just make it illegal to lie and fine the ones you catch.

A while back I watched a video on YouTube, and I forget the name and creator, but the basic idea was there are too many "good" games. Good just isn't good enough anymore, there are also too many great games to have time to pl

As a player, Unity games seem to have some issues with stuttering especially on resource load (e.g. first time a new enemy type appears). It happens to a degree that is surprisingly bad, given the relatively low fidelity of a lot of titles

Work out what you must have based on the rules, list them out, then subtract from 200. For me, V and VII from the roman numerals = 152 so I needed 48. Did He and Pd. Then of course a later rule came along.

My understanding is that section 230 is more about free speech i.e. your defamatory statements do not allow me to be sued if you post them on my site as a comment. The protections do not cover illegal speech, such as copyright infringement.

I think its main use case is safe harbour. Without the DMCA, if I posted something infringing copyright, Hacker News would be liable as the service provider. DMCA shifts the blame to me, but the publisher has to comply with takedown request

At this point I think the only thing that will stop SEO-spam articles is an AI good enough to read with a human-like critical mind that can detect bullshit (or, at least skim the 100 similar articles to get the one useful fact they all repe

I think it’s a reflection of the cult of youth. It’s common in many industries. Young people will put in long hours to get experience and give up comparatively little because they have less going on outside of work. It’s not necessarily hea

I can't remember the last time I deleted an account. I only do it for legal reasons. I would probably just visit Reddit less and less, until one day it's for the last time, and I never go back - not even to delete it, because it&#
