I read this a lot, but I've always had better results using the back of my knife. The top of the blade is squared off and peels ginger perfectly (better than when I tried a spoon) and I'm already holding it.

I think he is opinionated, in that he knows what he likes so will do that and not waste time on anything else. But snob implies he'd judge you for not liking the same things, which I definitely disagree with. I do agree he has a bit of

The real win here would be access to server side code - account management, loot box rates, plus garden variety buffer overflows and hacks. Open or closed doesn't matter as much if it runs on a device you can control, you can always re

I think what you are saying is probably correct, but remember what happened to MS and IE. IE was never forced, and other options weren't blocked. The issue was bundling and inability to uninstall due to tight coupling. Both of those wo

If the information is valuable, why aren't we paying for it? That's the problem we still haven't solved. It's why you are Google's product, and it's why companies use that "sticky" behaviour. You need

Many queries are relatively simple questions, and you won't get placement if you don't answer that question. And if you do, they have no need to click through. People care more about the answer than the justification. I've do

As a content creator rich snippets are such a bugbear. If you don't play the game then someone else's content and name shows up. If you do, there's a huge chance people get what they need and never visit your site. It's

Does anything happen if they keep you back for an hour and you "accidentally" go over the 30 hours? Or is it entirely based on the contract?

That was my understanding. If removing the license is a breach of terms, therefore the GPL now fails to apply, then it falls back to default copyright laws. And no one would argue copying MS Windows 'internally' is fine.

TSV/PSV generally don't allow newlines and commas/quotes are not special so are fine. Though Excel doesn't always play nice, but if you care about data integrity, you won't open it in Excel anyway.

CSV is terrible, and I'd never write my own parser, but there are datasets where tab or pipe can never appear and just using @line = split(/|/, $data) or similar in another language is so convenient for quick and dirty script

PSV (Pipe) is also good, tabs can rarely show up in some sets of data like mail addresses if humans key them in. I usually go with one or the other if I have a choice.
