The most common symptom I encounter on indie titles in particular is loading stutter. You can tell when something big is about to happen or you'll see a new enemy type because the game just locks up for a short but perceivable amount o

It is though their recent direction is concerning. I quit this league within a week or two. Don't really want to unpack all the drama here and the game is still very good, I just need to wait and see what they do next time around.

I've gone mostly single player as I got older. Even stuff like Monster Hunter World I will struggle against Behemoth instead of just teaming up. Other people are just added complexity I don't want to deal with. That said game desi

Some people are just unable to stop. My wife was like that in her small business. Her mindset was something like: I can't watch TV, I'm wasting money I could be earning. Even if there's no work right now, you can always do bu

I got solar recently because the payback time was around 5 years taking rebates into account. We often talk about how negative externalities of things like coal are not priced appropriately, however it goes the other way and renewable rebat

Our vacuum sealer said to never use it on bags with liquids. I'm guessing that's just a stupid compliance rule in case something goes wrong and it sucks the water into the machine.

You could try something simple like kefir, we did it for our dog mostly. It is very simple. You just strain the yoghurt when it's at your desired thickness, then put fresh milk and the strained grains back in the jar. Over time you

It's really obvious with our dog. As a puppy we could walk for an hour, or even more than 5km, and at home he'd still be a rambunctious little pest because he might be physically tired but not mentally. But a 5-10 minute training

It's exhausting being mentally present while knowing you're not doing anything useful. Using that time to actually work on side projects feels very unethical, so it's kind of just going with the tide for 8 hours a day then be

I agree with that. But there has to be minimal delay between any expense and refund if you are making the up front cost higher for the lower income brackets. Waiting until the end of the year for a rebate won't be good enough.

3 euros seems low, or maybe the road use tax here is just too high. One EV road use tax in Australia (Victoria) is 2.5c per km, I'll assume that's fair for now (I doubt it is, but anyway). A prior post said a truck does 5,000 time
