Apple tailors their software to run optimally on their hardware. Other OSs have to work on a variety of platforms. Therefore limiting the amount of hardware specific optimizations.

I sort of agree with the post. Most wealthy people or companies today aren't really wealthy. They just have stocks with imaginary value. Most of which were bought by someone else's money and need to be repaid at some point.
