I know someone at IC level there who hasn't done actual work in many months. There is literally no work because their old team was cut and they haven't found a new one yet. They are just collecting paychecks until an eventual (h

We know that backdoors can be intentional for use by 3-letter agencies. And there is plausible deniability of the bureaucracy when they can pass blame onto a single individual. Or it's beuracracy being beuracracy. The TSA is a lot of

One could argue that a owner of one single family home that could be turned into a rental loses out on the social safety net of diversified income and someday retirement, and is subsidising renters on the government's behalf. Most of u

While we are at it, make it easier for mom-and-pop landlords to rent out their homes so that they can compete with the resources of PE firms. Too many renter protections where I live and the consensus is don't ever try to be a landlo

This happened to me with Umpqua Bank. They offered a money market account that sounded great. I basically forgot about it, and checked my statement one day to find it earning 0.05%. Not 5%, 1/100th of that. My fault for not being di

The USAH ADM coach training now addresses this directly. They require all youth hockey coaches to take self-paced and live workshop training, and require annual continuing education. One example here that explains the thought process: &quo
