Image gen you eyeball one frame and stop, code needs hundreds of tokens all correct in sequence, one bad line and the whole thing fails.

Bigger context windows help but they don't remove the need to chunk. Embedding 8K tokens into one vector smears everything, retrieval quality drops even though nothing got truncated.

One thing I had to learn the hard way is that a spin lock is a bad fit the moment your threads can be preempted mid critical section. Under oversubscription you're spinning against a thread that isn't even scheduled.
