Exactly! And these are the stuff I usually look for when interviewing developers. These "mental models" are the ones with which you can filter on. Using them is the one that sets juniors and real senior developers apart.

Thanks this is really great answer. In fact I've noticed that the more experiences developers use "mental models" daily without knowing it. For example that 80/20 rule you mention is actually a mental model called Pareto
