I don't know how it works from the culture pov, but Salesforce has a few products that can be used independently - mulesoft, tableau, heroku, and of course, slack.

WhatsApp is ubiquitous in many parts of the world (like here in India), but it's also easily replaceable with telegram or signal. It won't be missed for too long.

Love asdf. Been using it for python, java and ruby for some time and it does away with the pain of having multiple version managers. Highly recommend.

I don't think they've interviewed at 40 different companies. For someone with 10+ years experience, most companies do at least 5-8 rounds these days. So I'd expect the number of companies they've interviewed at - and unf

This honestly sounds like a great idea. Even if not a side project, maybe learning a new language might help not only as a resume-filler but also to expand the pool of jobs you can apply for.

Would this not be a concern for React (and other SPAs) as well? I'm no UI expert, but from what I've seen of React/Vue UIs in previous companies, you still have to hit the server to get the data, though not the UI components.

I don't think it's the mention of rust so much as not providing context on what tauri is. Mentioning that it's an electron alternative would have cleared that up.
