I personally like standardrb ( https://github.com/testdouble/standard ). It is a set of sane defaults that I agree with mostly. Standard was also complaining a little but omitting the explicit else branch made it happy.

Sorry but not a fan of DHH anymore... In my opinion he is too focused on self marketing and always tries to show how different he thinks. Dude is not Steve Jobs.

What a clickbait title and shameless self promotion. That guy should really pay his "friend" Mubashar now that he has achieved something. Srsly Ben. Pay him.

audiogalaxy - one was able to find rare remixes that were not available anywhere else and download them as soon as a user with that file came online.

Do not use this. Use standard net/http or gorillatoolkit or one of the other existing options. Code smells.

I prefer Ruby on Rails for these kind of CRUD apps. I see no tests in this repo and the DB also seems mocked?

The edges are way too sharp for EU regulations I guess. Don’t think this model will be allowed in the EU. Sharp edges like these do more harm on collision.

You don't need to use action text if you want to go with an own solution. Action Text is so well integrated that inserting (and uploading) images via drag and drop works out of the box.

I doubt that you can run Netflix on any single server no matter of the webframework. Besides that Netflix itself is a Rails user for many applications (most of them for internal purposes).

Reminds me of Google Web Toolkit (GWT) back in the early 2000s. All of a sudden Google lost interest and kind of pulled the plug. This technology seems too risky for me to use in production right now.
