I'm already lazy and getting progressively stupider over time, so LLMs can't make me any worse. I also think it's a matter of how one uses them. I do not use any of the LLMs via their direct APIs. I do not want LLMs in any of

I'm noticing significant differences already. Code seems to work on the first try more often for me too. Perhaps my favorite change so far is the difference of verbosity. Some of the responses I am receiving when asking trivial questio

The language has also made great strides to increase readability and decrease verbosity. I have been loving a lot of the changes over the years.

Oh my, please! I haven't used F# too terribly much, but as a .Net dev, it's never gotten the love it deserves. I would probably have converted over if there was better third-party library support for the language. (I haven't

I am not confident most, if any of them, are even real. If they are real, then what kind of help there could be for something like this? Perhaps, community? But sadly, we've basically all but destroyed those. Pills likely won't tr

I think it's an canary in a coal mine, and the true writing is already on the wall. People that are using AI like in the post above us are likely not stupid people. I think those people truly want love and connection in their lives, an

I think that is one of the most frustrating issues I currently face when using LLMs. One can send the same prompt in two separate chats and receive two drastically different responses.

I have a different condition, but I gave up on topical steroids years ago. What you are describing, the rebound effect, from them essentially defeats the purpose of using them, in my opinion. The longer you use them the more damaging they b

Do you think a human response is much better? It would be foolish to blindly trust what comes out of the mouths of biological LLMs too -- regardless of credentials.

This honestly mirrors many of my interactions with credentialed professionals too. I am not claiming LLMs shouldn't be held to a higher standard, but we are already living in a society built on varying degrees of blind trust.

I am not sure that we are not presented with a Catch-22. Yes, life might likely be better for developers and other careers if AI fails to live up to expectations. However, a lot companies, i.e., many of our employers, have invested a lot of

I have had similar experiences too. To me, HTMX felt like a wrapper around vanilla JS's .fetch() or jQuery's AJAX calls except one just litters the HTML with specific custom HTML attributes. .fetch() has no issues returning server

To further this, a perfect example are some of the culinary words vs. the animal words in English. Pork, Beef, Poultry, Venison, etc. are thought to have French etymologies. Pig, Cow, Chicken, etc. are thought to have Germanic etymologies.
