It's not. The point is that antagonists of nuclear power need scary scenarios to make it effective, and "poisoning tons of people that you don't care about" isn't one of them.

Yup, I've visited the site and walked up to the reactor face! I think the thing about Church Rock that struck me was the absolute negligence demonstrated throughout. There's certainly neglect at Hanford, but to my understanding no

Thank you for this. It's my first time learning about it. I'm almost happy it's unknown since this is such a better argument against nuclear power than 3 Mile etc. Although I suppose for it to be an effective scare tactic you

Maybe worth semi weaponizing it? Make your own phishing page that gets into this list (easier said than done) and as soon as they click the sign in button (pre credential entry) splash a page explaining that Apple is busted?

I hate to say that I actually like that idea. I'm swamped in random notifications for weird parts of the repo I don't care about. I'd really like a "high # of comments and reactions/loc changes" feed.

Basically. Between covid masks and the music, nice weather, art, co-op style stuff it looks and feels very Burning Man. Which is a popular event for folks here anyway so perhaps unsurprising.

Yup, this is it. It's a super common issue though, and we see it all the time. An app expected the email of a user to be static and keys off of it. User gets married and loses their code access. At best it's a work stoppage when s

Hm, I can't find any sources to this effect. Have one? I vaguely recall a bit about paying over market for petroleum to refill the reserve, with the idea being we fill a demand and prop up the gas industry.

We have something between 3 and 8 user profile services that you might interact with on a daily basis depending on where you sit. If they all had "good" names they'd all have roughly the same name. It's dumb for onboardi

There's nothing there that indicates they'd take down two experts with conflicting views. It simply assumes that non-experts (specifically those pretending to be experts) shouldn't be listened to.

The US still spends more than any other country on Earth and indeed more than almost all of them combined. Any random country can spend more by GDP or by percent, but by dollar the US is the clear largest spender. Focusing on those two poin
