as someone that works in operations.. This is pretty common think. Lets still do things how we did it on bare metal inside kubernetes. They are stuck in the same mindset and just think Kubernetes is a automation tool. I see it all day long

As a landlord.. why would I want a smart lock? If there's one thing you learn as a landlord is if it can break, it will break. Why would you want a tenant calling you at 2am because the smart lock won't work.

So about a year before the crazy growth I interviewed there. Their platform at the time was on heroku and all the services were managed services. So ya they had a ton of tech debt to deal with to handle hyper growth.

I dunno.. I like Tesla but can't see myself buying one till they open up and let 3rd parties work on them. I can't see paying Tesla 12k on a repair when people that know how to do the repair say $3k max.

Depends if it offsets the inefficiency of watering. As water becomes more and more of an issue the power needed to run LED grow lights isn't the biggest issue. I believe farms like this use a lot less water to grow the same yield.

You can walk into almost any place where you get food in the US to use a toilet. Last time I was in EU was 10 years ago but tried to use a toilet in a bar and got yelled at unless I bought something first.

I don't care about the general patents they give out. I think there should be patent categories like tech, physical, medical, etc A tech patent should only last 3-5 years, which is a lifetime in tech to give you an upper hand. I think
