Sandro is right that the language is called Nix and the CLI is called Nix. Though, part of the trouble is that Nix handles multiple things (eg. Dev environments) and is often referred to separately as the Nix Package Manager. Realisticall

I love Nix, all of my machines run NixOS, but I think it's 5-10 years out from widespread adoption. Currently the biggest issues have to do with severely lacking documentation, lack of developer tooling (missing things like LSP), very

I recently discovered that Go's time and date utilities use the date "Jan 2 03:04:05pm MST 2006" as template values in order to parse and format dates.

This lines up with my experience and continued frustration with YouTube. I use the service a lot whether it be for background noise, research, and so on. The recommendations have been awful (doubly so in Shorts) regardless of how many vid

I also found the second and third options unnecessarily noisy. Though, I'm not surprised with the obvious syntax warts being proposed considering the disaster that is `globalThis`. I do hope the first choice is the one used as it is th

I've enjoyed the analogy so adding onto it: Google would open up 5 competing, different burger places next to each other and then close them all down a year later, confused that none of them did well enough. All to open a new Taco stan

When I was futzing around two or three months ago with audio on my NixOS system I believe it was still using media-session. Are you on unstable? I believe the intention was to migrate to WirePlumber, but didn't expect that to happen al

One quirk for you: using my samsung keyboard with swipe typing, spaces aren't added between words. Not sure at all what causes it. The only other place I have seen this happen is url input in the browser (which I believe is intentional

Turborepo has been a welcome addition to the JavaScript tooling sphere. Funnily enough, at nearly the same time as the initial version of Turbo became available, I had just about finished building my own monorepo tool for similar reasons (c

The "pro" page wasn't immediately obvious to me as well and I spent ~30mins perusing the documentation before finally finding a mention of a license key. I do wish that was more upfront.

I was initially quite impressed with the quality of the output and the feature set available. Well done! In addition, the github actions seem to make this a very quick drop-in solution which is something I need for several projects now (and
