Adding T4MVC is the first thing I do on a new project. It makes pretty much all the magic strings disappear.

I respectfully disagree with both of you. This shouldn't be a case of not having enough time, make time and get both parts to a decent level. Creating a bespoke splash page should be the easiest bit. You need to take your developer hats off

Ugh, I'm starting to get sick of Bootstrap. You've got a great idea and you remove value from it with bootstrap... How integral can your product be if you can't even give it a unique UI?

From the look of it I think it's a stock template icon with some tweaking?

Good job on your site, just had a look and I think it looks great. Interesting service too. Do you have many users?

This is great. "Open Source nerds don’t have the discipline to write documentation because it’s no fun. Writing new code is fun." - as I discovered when trying to learn how to use the last 2 open source frameworks I came across.

Answered a similar question the other day. Webmaster tools doesn't let you target .io domains globally, as it's intended for the Indian Ocean countries. Therefore it won't rank as well as a .com in the Google serps, which is a big disadvant

I think this is a good thing. I know plenty of people who have bought an iMac because it looks cool, not because it's a Mac running OSX. Now people can have a machine that looks trendy like a Mac, but (I'm assuming) at a lower price, and wi

My input: more colours, and a better cut t-shirt. No one I know wears plain white round-neck cotton t-shirts. How about something like this: http://images.asos.com/inv/media/9/3/6/7/2477639/greymarl/im... Taken from here: http://www.asos

.io domains are currently pretty useless because Google webmaster tools won't let you target a global audience. So no one apart from those who live in the Indian Ocean states will find you via Google, which is a bit of a disadvantage.

Do you have any tips for squeezing the most out of adsense? Ad positioning, types, quantity, obtrusiveness?

Am I right in saying backbone and knockout do not solve the same problem? I fancy dipping my toes into a javascript framework, and being primarily a .net dev I'm being pushed towards knockout. However backbone seems to be better adopted and

True... YOU expect the game to push ads at you or try to sell you things, because this is your domain. You look at it from a totally technical point of view, you have plenty of experience dealing with this sort of thing. Mr Smith the averag

Great idea, but make it a website instead of a pdf (or as well as) so sorting and searching and stuff can be done?

Exactly. The moral of this story is clearly not to wear t-shirts joking about bombs, terrorists, or killing, when you know you're going to be boarding a plane.

I especially like the VS2012 web inspector - it's like having Firebug or Chrome Inspector plugged into the live code, html, and css, so any changes you make are saved.

Hold on... so we're going back to printing things out again, things that are easily accessible on our phones or computers? Really? I don't quite understand why anyone would want this apart from the gimmick factor.

That sucks. Settle and iZettle, for me, are easily distinguishable. I'd be fuming.

Massively risky. It always is when your proposition is 100% reliant on someone else's with no promises or contracts. What happens if Stripe suddenly say no (a la Padmapper), or they make their own? Just saying.

Why bother paying at all? This is basically the same as just walking straight out the store with your goods. A guard won't accept a receipt that says your flat screen tv only cost 49p.
