   Not shanzhaied, but another alternative spectrum sensor for VIS/NIR(390nm - 1000nm) is nanolambda NSP32. www.nanolambda.net

   There is another alternative that looks like more of a solid tool. www.nanolambda.net anyhow spectral sensing could be one of the main stream for IoT sensing

   I think I agree that there really isn't a comparable competitor to rpi .. rpiZero W offers a lot for an iot module at such a great cost. maybe something like the CHIP, but not even? I'm currently working on an agriculture sensing
