Reminds me of some of the ham radio digital modes. Here’s a fun link of examples: https://www.sigidwiki.com/wiki/Category:Amateur_Radio

Clipper was the first programming language I learned as a kid outside of bat files. My dad worked with it at work, so we had a copy at home that I played with. Loved making those textual UIs using the double border boxes.

I love my Mazda CX-5. The navigation wheel works wonderfully, even with Apple CarPlay. I definitely miss it when I drive my wife’s Hyundai Tucson.

Do you have any good examples of sites that don’t work on Firefox? I hear this a lot, but I don’t seem to experience it. I exclusively use Firefox on the desktop, while I use Safari on mobile.

There are also devices on eBay which record to a usb device and handle HDCP. Works great for archiving content from streaming services using a Roku. Not quite as cheap as this though, I think I paid $40 from a US seller.

An off-topic but somewhat related question. What is a good way to whitelist which applications can access the network on my desktop linux system? (Currently running Arch, but I distro-hop quite often). Years ago when I had a MacBook, I used

Qt Creator or if my battery is real low, a text editor like Gedit (yes, I’m probably saving more there just by not having features like code completion and syntax checking).

I love vs code, and its plugin system, but if I’m on my laptop without a charger, I use something else. When I’m running vs code, my battery life is cut nearly in half.

I work primarily with grocery retailers, and this is quite accurate. Almost all of them have told us that they will not use any of our services if they are hosted in AWS. They used to be hesitant, but willing, but once Amazon acquired Whole

Software Engineer at a large software company (Fortune 500), 7.5% pay cut, but happy to still be employed. I am billable to our customers, and have a decent backlog of work, so I am hopeful.

I recently came across this project when looking for a simple web interface for a Raspberry Pi (running Ubuntu). I see that it was discussed here before [1], but thought it was worthy of another share. [1] https://news.ycombinat

The FedEx Ground trucks around here are also franchises, but I'm sure FedEx strictly enforces driver training, etc., since their name is on the side of the truck.
