How is programming less magical today than it was in the past? if anything it’s far more fulfilling now considering how much more one can accomplish.

What’s the name of your app again?
905.
by heyoni 8y ago
Absolutely. For me it was something I was doing for fun when I was about 13 and was my second intro to programming after qbasic.

I think that teaching myself C++ in the late 90’s was a mistake. I remember going through an entire textbook, not being able to do anything with it and stopped programming for years.

You might already know this but you can do that by command line with 'brew cask audit sloth' to see where it's pulling from...I'm paranoid enough too :O

Not as bad as T-Mobile defending the practice of storing passwords in plaintext!

Really? It’s like $80 to fix an iPhone 8 screen or %10 of the total price.

Yea it’s ddr4 with a dedicated graphics card, probably has a better screen. You saved some money by downgrading. Go spec an actual MacBook Pro, I promise you it’s at least $2000.

Nah, I think you’re being pessimistic here. I’m not OP but I’m in the boat and I turn down public assistance because it’s not what it was made for and the system is strained enough...also, I wouldn’t judge anyone else for taking it.

I don’t follow your blog but I keep running into it, and it’s a really cool story. I hope you figure it out and keep documenting it because I’m trying to do the same and would love to maintain this level of autonomy. Unlike you though, I th

Reddit uses it and it is awful, because it never remembers your choice to not use the app, and will keep asking you.

Yea. You don't see me trying to break it down do you? There's a very clear pattern of headlines about a potential Tesla doomsday that's almost always rooted in rumors or anonymous tips...and guess what...sometimes you look up

I’ll read the whole article when the paywall comes down or someone else publishes it again. Either way, I’m highly suspicious of articles like this considering the personal gain some individuals stand to win.

This story is such bullshit. It smells like someone's stuck in a short position over Tesla stock and wants to create a dip in it...maybe it's the same guy Elon insulted on that last quarterly earnings call.

They claim that he’s played the game so wouldn’t it be possible that he was presented with the new TOS before playing and agreed to that?

Is there a way to tell or are we going by what these companies disclose?

by heyoni 8y ago
I’m fairly sure that it often is the developers packaging it for different platforms... Sometimes though, people do it...and it might even be automated.

Some key people left after that project too. I’m sure some good stories will come out for that soon too.
