This is great. Just last weekend I did the same thing, coding a very basic blockchain in Python for educational purposes. You tackled wallets, which I didn't get to yet, so that was really helpful. I'm still a little unsure around

Thanks, this is a really interesting way of looking at it. The change from $0-1000 is still not comparable to the other 2x gains. I looked up $500-$1000 and it looks like it took about 1000 days.

I'd love to hear some thoughts about keeping a "lab notebook" for ML experiments. I use Jupyter Notebooks when playing around with different ML models, and I find that it really helps to document my thought process with notes

I live in Bellingham, WA, which has (I think) the closes TJ's to Vancouver. The parking lot is already about 50% British Columbia plates, and maybe now it'll be even more. I certainly welcome more friendly neighbors shopping in to

Definitely an interesting thought experiment. This article assumes 7.1% annually, and gets that by choosing an arbitrary start and end date of stock returns. In reality, it seems to be more like ~4%, which makes this conclusion much differe

I'm a different person, but I know lots of vegans and non-vegans who love 'Thug Kitchen'. I also really like 'The Plant-Powered Way'.

This should be a great long-tail SEO boost. It's just like one of (Rap) Genius's best early SEO advantages, which was that they had a URL for every line. https://moz.com/blog/how-i-would-do-seo-for-rap-genius

Thank you. It's refreshing to see someone walking the walk, not just talking the talk. Too many people get above 6 figures and decide that taxes are suddenly the worst thing in their life.

I once did this on an internal app, we had a hotkeys library installed, so I added the GTA cheats to raise and lower your wanted level. It just added a temporary notice in the top right of your screen, nothing major. Turns out that if you m

Can you elaborate on this? At work we have a HTML video player that works with files, YouTube, and Vimeo all with the same skin, and we're easily able to do things like save state across sessions. I will say that the transcoding aspect

I think part of the point of the film "Virunga" and it being on this list to raise its exposure. If just a few travelers visit every year, it can make a difference on the park's viability.
