Here (Netherlands) it's also not that bad, there's often a few sections on the menu: meat, fish, vegetarian. If you're lucky, they're of similar size. Supermarkets have a reasonable selection of meat substitutes, though I prefer to use chee

What monad would you use them for? I've never seen a really good use case.

I think you have Planck's constant (about 6 * 10^-34) confused with something else. It would be about $0, which is still less than $4.5 billion.

Yes, it turns out it grows based on the screen size. Still, with the browser maximized on my laptop, I see only one where it used to be 5 (or 4 + more).

In the blog post it's gone, in the preview theme it's still there. I think it means very little, since you could always turn it off in the settings. It would make sense for them to discontinue Buzz though, since they now have Google+.

The month view in the new Calendar is even worse. You could see 5 appointments per day (4 if you had more than 5, since it showed '+x more'). Now you can see only one. It has gone for good to useless.

You are right. I was misled by an incorrect new article, but the actual amendment [1] is clear that the user has to ask the ISP to do this. [1] https://zoek.officielebekendmakingen.nl/dossier/32549/kst-32...

Note that there is an exception if the ISP does it on ideal grounds, tells the user and doesn't use it for its own profit. This was an amendment by a extremist christian party that accidentally got voted in by the labor party...

One problem I have with JSON is that there is no canonical way to represent union types. For example, if you have the Haskell type data C = A { field1 :: T1, field2 :: T2 } | B { field3 :: T3 } How do you represent this in JSON? The

I just tried the same on the Mac (in TextEdit). If you start with a slash, you get a 'go to directory' dialog. If you enter a slash later in the filename, it saves with a slash in the filename. The 'magic' is that it actually uses colons, w

As an aside, note that this isn't the recommended way to make Int an instance of Monoid, since there is another, equally valid definition using '1' and '*'. The recommended way is to make a newtype. In fact, the Sum and Product newtypes are

Actually, you don't need to in most real programs. You usually use the elements of a list with some function that makes it clear what type they have. In GHCi (the interpreter) this doesn't happen. It has some defaulting rules to alleviate t

That is exactly how it works. The version has four components: A.B.C.D. The first two, A.B, are the major version, and have to be bumped on incompatible changes. The third is a minor version, and has to be bumped if you add to the API. The

I'm guessing they do this to provide location on phones without GPS, or to improve it. Apple uses this as well on the iPhone (I think) and the iPod Touch. I think they use this company: http://www.skyhookwireless.com/
