On Zoom, you can push to talk by pressing the space bar. Yes, this advice is Zoom-centric but the app calls out Zoom in the first sentence on the page, so I think it's fair.

Cool idea: Feedback: When I miss typing a character, all subsequent characters are marked wrong (red), even when they are actually correct. For example, let's say I write "paralel" instead of "parallel". The E and L

I found ledger-cli (upon which beancount is based) immediately useful. However, since you mentioned Emacs, I should say that I use ledger-mode in Emacs to add entries. But I do most of my reporting directly on the command line.

Two examples: 1) I wanted to provide a Jupyter notebook with IBM DB2 support for a university course. (Why DB2? Because its optimizer can transparently use materialized views for query optimization which PostgreSQL can't AFAIK.) IBM pr

This seems to be the same hardware that is used by the luftdaten.info [0] project from Germany to track fine dust in the atmosphere. They ship a firmware which is setup to connect to a local WiFi network and transmit your sensor data to a m

I tried the macOS terminal, iTerm2, and the xterm that ships with XQuartz. None of them work. I think the problem is that by default Alt+X creates printable characters on macOS. For example: Alt-E => € Alt-U => ¨ Alt-C => ç

The screenshot looks nice but I can't figure out how to get it working. I can mark files with TAB but how can I edit/stage/commit? The ALT-X hotkeys create characters which are used to refine the search.

The Spanish flu strain (H1N1) circulated as the common flu until 1957 when it was replaced by Asian flu in 1957 (H2N2). However, it reappeared briefly as the Russian flu in 1977.

Unfortunately, you cannot turn off retweets in lists, at least on the Twitter website or iOS app. I disable retweets for most of the people I follow. Fortunately, in Tweetdeck you can filter retweets for each list individually.
