In long term archival use cases this is less of an issue. Especially if it’s many exabytes we’re talking about, needing to be stored for decades. But I 100% agree with your main point about possibility vs productionisation.

I’ve read elsewhere that the cut-away during booster separation was intentional given the high risk manoeuvre. If something went wrong / explosion etc, then they wouldn’t want to broadcast it. Something to that effect. I’m paraphrasing

thanks, that's an insightful comment. so defs not a globally consistent usage of the term then? judging by the article's authorship, i'm guessing denmark and US the same so perhaps US and EU but not elsewhere?
