"Sam Adams stopped making the beer I like so I went into a random pub to complain loudly and got thrown out. Now I just drink Bud Light!" Today Mr. Firmwarrior stands in the public square shouting about Firefox some more.

So you can play piano over SSH obviously! Okay, yes, there's X11 forwarding but this is a lot simpler, right?

Any similar libs for drawings that snap together, like in a flowchart? Considering writing something like that in WASM. But it might have to be from scratch in that case.

Thank you for everything, Bram. Your legacy will live far, far beyond you. Farewell. And on an old programming forum (where I wrote all my posts with the Vimperator external editor feature -- in Vim, of course), so my signature went.. :wq

There are multiple indications that this was written in 2015, yet the advice seems new. The timelessness of elisp/lisp and the emacs ecosystem. I actually did the same thing a couple years back on a system where an Arch Linux upgrade r

Very interesting. Thanks for sharing! Yes, you are right about my clients. And while the difference is subtle, it sounds like you are doing more of "contract jobs" than "consulting". But no matter what it is called, clea

Hear, hear. It's like how for years search engines have been carefully guiding us into writing search queries as folk sentence questions. In the beginning of search entering a few terms was good enough to be shown relevant information.

Indeed but by using Rust the project isn't painting itself into a corner. I seriously doubt the promised native versions will be simply shoved into Electron. Making it available on the web makes it easy to try which will help build the

The article hits the hammer smashed face right on the face. Great read! In more recent years I've really come to appreciate the Death Metal English of bands like Obscura. Nothing crushes your significance like song titles and lyrics of

Absolutely not. The last album, Those Once Loyal (2005), was a masterpiece and while I respect the band for not making another album just to make another album.. I would really like another album!

I use git in Termux all the time. It's fine. You just enter commands like normal. I have no idea what the parent to your comment is on about, especially having "written a book".

Actually I do to save me from the deprived interfaces the OS ships with. The Git install is one of the best Cygwin-likes I've encountered. It has the majority of tools needed and reasonable integration with the host OS. Very nice for g

I like `rmdir` because I don't have to check if a directory that I think is empty is actually empty with `ls -la` before removing it. This happens a lot with moving stuff out of directories (sometimes to different destinations).
