This happened to me as well when I was arrested for running a red light on my bike. I had to walk from downtown Brooklyn back to the precinct that had my stuff because I didn't have any money or keys into my apartment. https:/&#x

I'm more curious as to whether the original article was published with an apostrophe, or the HN poster actually typed the title out from memory rather than cut/paste.

I think this thing is awesome. The amount of gullibility online / Facebook is insane, and this will either increase it, or teach people to be incredibly more skeptical. I'm hoping the latter. Here's one I made in 5 minutes:

I'm not sure what you're trying to say, or why you think it's a ridiculous opinion. People respond to incentives. If you add an incentive to drink more, they will do so. Whether the positives outweigh the negatives is hard

Yeah, this is a terrible idea, for all the reasons people have already listed. Perverse incentives, easily gamed. You have to wonder how these kind of things even get past the initial brainstorming sessions. It only takes a couple reasona

This news is worthless without knowing how many stores actually had them and how many. Artificial scarcity is part of the marketing here, of course they'd sell out.
