Germany can afford to fund libreoffice development which will benefit the taxpayer by providing good free alternatives to microsoft products. I also dont think any tax payer is concerned about the cost of a document being formatted differen

cproc supports C11, tcc only goes up to c99. There is also something to be said for cproc using QBE which is slowly growing backends like risc-v etc which tcc doesnt support afaik.

If it works on ones computer I dont see why it couldnt be daily driven depending on your needs. It has a webkit based browser, and a native emacs port, thats pretty much all i use day to day :P

Alpine linux has a /etc/apk/world which is just a full list of all the packages currently installed I'm not a fan of nix but I'd say the nixos repository is fairly mature.
