My VPN costs £5.99 a month and the service is great. Can you get much cheaper than that?

It's a great tagline, but I'm not sure how it works? To me, saying something doesn't need "any technical skills" shouldn't have to mean inserting a line of code onto a file on a server. For the lay person, that's pretty technical. I'm sure

I'm not sure what you mean by this? Are you suggesting it's insecure? I thought lots of uploads/cache folders on blogging platforms have 777? I'm a lay person, indulge me.

I can recommend StaceyApp: http://staceyapp.com/ The filesystem is built of just folders and text files, and it creates a blog automatically. Very minimal and doesn't require any kind of admin backend.

There have been attempts at such sites. From experience though, they tend to fill up with "need technical co-founder to build app/social networking site. Don't want to mention what it is in case someone takes idea. Have mockups and list of

I'm a non-technical founder but I decided to teach myself PHP (via CodeIgniter), jQuery, CSS3, how to play with LESS CSS, Amazon S3, source control and countless other small things. What I learned from using 'race to the bottom' oDeskers is

Dating sites don't inherently suck. OKCupid is actually an amazing website. The problem, as always, is there will always, always be more men seeking women. I'd like to see what would happen if a dating site somehow tried to keep the ratio o

GBBO is very poorly executed though. Google Sites was never intended to be used for external sites, and the sites are both difficult to navigate for the user and difficult to maintain for the company. The only redeeming factor of GBBO was t

I love the bureaucracy. Not a plight against Italians, most would be the same, but "Woah, this is more radioactive than Fukushima and none of us will go within 250 yards of it!" - 12 months, $700,000 later, government and port authority dec

I was a business graduate (Nottingham) & we were never pitched startups either. I was very willing to join a startup, but I also tend to rail against the Silicon Roundabout. I'm just personally not that interested in London. Are many of

With only ~300 friends, it seems sort of pointless to curate my feed into 'Top Stories'. Over the course of a day, there are only a couple of things that get my friends commenting or clicking 'like', and they don't get lost because there is

Whilst clearly there is a sense of entitlement, colleges do nothing to dispel the myth that going to a good school == good job at the end. When you're 18 and having to make a decision about your future, university has proven time and again

I love Chrome, but it's almost unusable on Lion for me at the moment. Full screen support isn't very good, it doesn't work with desktop/spaces and it's felt more unreliable than in the past (though that's anecdotal).

IMHO AirBnB is no more responsible than CouchSurfing. Whilst AirBnB charges a fee, that's purely as middleman for connecting two parties. Of course it's horrific for the person, and this is an extreme example, but it's a lesson learned of h

I wouldn't expect people to buy these in their thousands in shops. They're more about: 1) Sharing - giving them to other fans who will listen and pass them on. 2) Signifying - showing who you are listening to.

The beauty of Red Bull's marketing is its focus. One product, a few versions. Original, sugar free, small shots - that's about all I know of. How many other companies make billions with essentially just one product?
