A better restaurants the tips are pooled. In my experience front of house, and cleaners/dishwashers splits. Kitchen staff where in a separate pay bracket.

There are plenty of work out there that low skill workers could be doing, that requires uniquely human hands. Some of it doesn't seem that awesome, like say pickup litter, but some of it could be very cool like building trails or plant
