This is exactly it. Worry free transport option. We have a set monthly budget for transport and we get whatever car is we think best available for our budget when lease is up. I never have to worry about service, the car is always in warran

As per my calculations our two latest cars cost us around £200/month. That is £2400 per year or £24000 per 10 years. Pretty good for cars costing £30k and £40k new. Buying the same cars and driving them for 15 years would actually cost

Our car was £40k new. We've been paying £400/month for 2.5 years now. It's a 4 year lease. We still owe £22k. They gave us £7k for our old car - that was the difference between how much we owed and how much previous car was w

This is a non-issue. I have no issues with helping with a task on Thurs 5:35pm or even 6pm if it will unblock some people. It rarely happens though if your team and organisation are properly managed. You are making up an imaginary issue her

Many times the slots are all taken. Then there's the cost. These things cost money. Add commute spending and many people can't really afford both commute for them and morning and afternoon clubs for their kids.

You seem to always pop up when there's a thread about Serbia and you always post about Serbs and Serbia in a negative context no matter what it's about. I lived in Serbia for 6 years and no, they are overall not xenophobic people.

In my case, no. WFH because I prefer it. I manage a team of 7. In our team there are people all across UK. Childcare would be easy for me but commute, oh no! There's talk about less than 40 and more years old. I'm over 40 and pref

The rest is admin, meetings and actually thinking on how to solve the problem (this one is actually 24/7).

They are cooking the frog. First 1 to 2 days, then as long as you're in 50% in a month. Now 3 days. Most of the people rant but give up at the end and some go elsewhere. The ones who do what they want and work from home do just that. E

Yeah, but because Champagne is such a success it's now the synonym for all sparkling wines. Mind you, I do use proper wording, I just don't understand what the fuss is all about.

This is exactly what it is in some cases. Bonus. I know about a company where execs bonuses are now based also around how many people they can get back to the office. Of course they are pushing for it.

No, I remember energy prices going up way before Ukraine war. Starting in the summer of 2021 we had multiple energy providers going bankrupt.

I don't think people with good writing skills are undervalued. Good writers just do other jobs than technical docs most of the time. They go to marketing/advertising.

How old are the kids? Do they go to school? We found a few parents that we now regularly go out with.

Try board games with your loved ones. Ludo, Risk, Uno. It's all great fun and you forget about the rest of the world. Worries at least temporarily go away as well.
