I'm still not entirely convinced this wasn't an inside job (or entirely made up) and they just put a nice pot of money away somewhere. Wouldn't be without precedent in the wonderful world of crypto...

Just about all occurrences have been so, it just depends what you believe. Entirely obvious irony in naming it 'Trusted News Initiative' like a good old 'Honest Al's Second-hand Cars!'

I'm not saying the developer is crap, I'm saying it didn't take 19 developers to do what he/she did . Each of those 19 developers could have been just as good, but the problem/requirement was likely very different

Exactly, that was my point. It's not that the engineer simply coded better than 19 other people together could, it's that other factors came into play. If the intent was to portray they are just a 19x developer... I know I'

To me there is no logical reason for needing 19 engineers other than poor documentation, written in a niche language (or non-standard for the org) or they use a consulting firm that of course said it will take 19 engineers and needs rebuild

The study doesn't seem to call out how many numbers in each cohort actually got the flu in the time period. Also, that the vaccines are created anew each year for the particular strains of flu likely to be an issue also requires inves

Probably just because it isn't a very high bar. "People who eat McDonald's linked to fewer car accidents." I mean some data might just show that, but causality is a lot further away there. Hence, while a correlation mi

The fact anti-depressants have such serious potential side-effects should mean anyone considering them is at least hopefully fully informed and has exhausted other options. I'm sure many people find it insulting to have such 'obvi

A vaccine created to target a specific protein and years of virology experience in predicting where that would lead. I'm not one of those virologists, but it's not an unreasonable issue to foresee, with OAS a known effect.
