That's going in the wrong direction IMO. TypeScript checks types only, not business logic. Zod does both.

5.36kB is not "quite large". It's pretty reasonable, esp. if you're only running it on the server.

I was using TypeBox but switched to Zod. I like TypeBox but I found I don't actually need my schema to be a JSON Schema and the one time I did want a JSON Schema it was hard to get actual JSON back out of TypeBox. The thing I like abou

Kysley is worth the effort, yes. Prisma and Drizzle...those gave me a bit too much heck. Kysley is close enough to SQL while offering some benefits, typings being one of them, but also query builders are often helpful when I need to run sub

I don't know about "running circles" but they seem to help with mundane/repetitive tasks. As in, LLMs provide greater than zero benefit, even to experienced programmers. My success ratio still isn't very high, but f

I find 80-90% hard to believe. But I could believe maybe 50% or so if the company is really bullish on it. But still, IME it requires quite a bit of fixing up and/or prompting it quite a few times to get a decent output.

C'mon. Even something simple like a date picker. Where are you going to store which month you're looking at? There's state everywhere, and we should not be sending it all back and forth to the server.

That doesn't look like it even has anything to do with custom components, that's just adding a method to a class. OOP 101.

I wanted to refute the "the constant churn of new frontend frameworks to learn". If you just stuck with React since 2015, they've only had 4 major versions since then and every ver they deprecate only a few things and then yo

That sounds nice and it probably works fine if you're targeting a single business running Windows, but targeting Mac, Windows and Linux remains more difficult, no? And is there even a guarantee that your deploy will be rolled out in X

Other than being written in Rust, what are it's selling points? I'm not seeing anything in the README. Is it faster, but otherwise identical to bash? And if yes, are there any sorts of benchmarks?

Aside from a few rushed features, all the things that have been coming to web are really lovely. I'll be very sad if this all slows down. We were just about at feature parity with native mobile apps.

You can always swap out some of those services for always-running prod or dev-in-the-cloud services. I have a big mix of setups for my projects. I like Vite+Bun (client+server) for smallish projects because the dev servers start instantly.
