In a way having Monero is like having large piles of cash. As long as you can prove they came from legitimate sources and that all taxes on them were paid, you have nothing to worry about. You also need to be careful not to deny in an offic

Exactly this. If this was an EFF tool maybe I would trust it. But a binary hosted on GitHub? Especially since GitHub is whitelisted by major browsers so you would not get a reputational warning when downloading a binary. This is exactly the
