I can attest that getting one of those cheapo SSD-s for a gaming PC and then downloading games on Steam over a good connection (500 Mbit/s) can overwhelm the SSD and cause the whole system to be unusably slow, with similar multi-second

Seems like they have fixed it, but it doesn't hurt to mention Kiwix. Download a full copy of Wikipedia as a .zim file, and you're good to go in even low connectivity scenarios. The instance of Wikipedia (and other sites) that I&#x

I've measured 11-15W idle power usage on a Deskmini X300 with a Ryzen 7 5700G, which is not bad for a socketed desktop CPU.

I did not buy mine from Amazon, I was ordering other things from a local IT retailer and had room in the budget for two of these USB sticks. The price made sense in this context for me and I had little use for that extra space.
