They are a bit like "social network for dog owners" approach. There's this huge chicken and egg problem of bringing the advertisers and job hunters together to a job site and the first thing that comes to mind is to take a st

Having an established relationship with the moderators and/or being an already respected member of the community helps a great deal in those scenarios. Obviously, that takes a lot of investment in time.

Some of the logos reproduced in this belong to very litigatious companies. I don't think this will live too long.

I remember a few London startups trying to tackle that. Their names are eluding me at the moment. I reckon the reason they didn't get successful is due to challenges in monetization.

Everything in a job offer is open to negotiation. Sometimes I have to go back to my boss to extend my range if I like a candidate a lot. If the candidate flips after that, the failure is much more public than I would like.

Maybe there's a much less sinister reason for companies shying away from relocation. We had a few applicants that we were willing to offer relocation and all of them flipped at the last moment. They all said their significant others ha

Bootstrap made a lot of ground by being associated with Twitter early on. There's now a huge community of plugin and theme developers for Bootstrap. Foundation does not have that sort of backing.

I would hazard a guess that it's because the intended audience is the node js crowd. Maybe apart from games, most of this is irrelevant for browser side javascript.

Take up your clients' offer, who want to pay more. Cull the ones who don't want to. You'll end up with less clients but be much more profitable.

Negative connotations aside, this is still a good idea. Master/slave terminology trips up at least some beginners. Masters laze all day and slaves do all the work. Not really a good analogy.

At least for the startup world, it's about prioritisation of concerns. Will that disaster implementation take me to my next(or first) round of funding? If yes, I'll happily go with it. After that, I can throw money at the problem.

I don't think anybody is disputing that. But there was a time upper class meant rich, no? That's considered proto-capitalism by many.

Not the OP, but concentration of wealth in the hands of a class and concentration of capital in the hands of capitalists sound awfully similar.

Speed bumps would be prohibitive for F1 too. Yet, many technologies perfected in F1 made their ways into every day cars. This is a race car. The purpose of the race is not to be the fastest but to consume the least amount of petrol.
