The point is that people in their free time, can break into systems that cost millions in design to keep those people out. For me, the homebrew community is the reason why I have a career in technology in the first place. Breaking into thin

Not sure why, but I'd expect someone as smart as Roiland to know better. Convenience isn't worth the unknowns, it never was.

GitHub has been sh*tting the bed left and right. I audibly laughed when I saw this article. I don't know if it started when MS bought them, but it's when I think the decline became very apparent.

> do you really think a quicker response would have changed the end result Communication matters a lot. A response within 24 hours means they would be ten days ahead. Yes, that is better than being 11 days behind. Waiting is what the cus

I'm not sure what service GitHub thinks it is providing these days. It's like they're trying to lose customers.

You can find developer first roles where the company puts a lot of time and energy into making developers the most efficient workers, but most companies are a cluster-fuck of resource management and you'll be lucky to find a healthy co

It's certainly a more consumer-centric and transparent way of selling the product. I would feel more taken care of as a customer. Very few companies/apps with monthly subscription actually provide $X of new value each month for ea

It definitely takes some time getting used to the quirks of Airflow. I know it took 6 months of running it at my last gig to really understand what was happening underneath the UI. With great control comes great responsibility.

I think you have grossly underestimated how propaganda against right to repair legislation has colored your perception. That is what's sad. We used to fully own the devices we buy, now look at us.
