Seems like it would be possible to create a "linter" for PHP and Ruby that would detect at least basic SQL injection vulnerabilities?

I didn't realize it either, there was no indication that my expiration date wasn't valid. By the way on the Mastercard on Chrome 28 on Win 7 it shows the CVC on the top left corner of the card so that the text overlaps with the bo

I'm not really a high volume user (0 unread most of the time) but I have tons of tabs and filters. I really only want to be notified of a new email when it's from someone I personally know.

I'm a bit worried about this thought of the success of 3D printing depending on people getting tons more "throwaway plastic stuff".

This is one thing that bothers me about Zynga et al. The entertainment business has always been like this, you can't have a movie run in the theaters for years on end. I don't think why they think a game will work differently if t

I think Spotify is in a great position right now, they are building up a huge userbase right now (first step for Facebook etc. too). But the service will monetize very well. For example I would pay extra per album to get to stream a couple

I think the biggest problem with PC makers will be that a 2006 computer still does everything that a normal user needs very well. You can watch Netflix, browse Facebook, check your email, skype, play music etc. without any hiccups or reason

In Berlin there's St. Oberholz: http://www.sanktoberholz.de/ which has really embraced the people using it as an office. Feels like a very welcoming place when you have to get some work done and you won't bother &

I've learned to always run a simple test where I print into the console 1 million iterations of the distribution. Takes about 10 seconds and this is just for games, not crypto.

Facebook was built with PHP. I think it's almost a cargo-cult to think that you HAVE to be switching technologies constantly to build the awesomest stuff out there. You do your best work with a language/environment maybe 2+ years

This is just plain wrong anyway. Creating a social game is much more expensive than a iOS title for example. Sure it's still cheaper than most AAA console games but really cheap game making is thriving - in indie companies and actually inte

What ever happened to "If it ain't broken, don't fix it"? Every product doesn't need to be constantly re-inventing itself. What most people want from Gmail is a sleek, reliable and fast email client. The Google+ integration is already annoy
