Funny how the title of the article is "Why most economists' predictions are wrong." I think he's really out of his element, making more technological than a economical prediction.

I'm sure we'll see exporting to WebGL from Unity once more browsers start to support it. It already has Flash exporting which makes the Unity plugin dead-on-arrival (well a few years after arrival anyway).

I basically only use digital currency right now, and it's just your normal Euros. I get paid by the company through internet banking and it gets deposited to my bank account. I pretty much only check my bank information online. When I pay (

It is deflationary. I have 1€, I can buy one loaf of bread with it today. One year from now: Inflation - I can buy 0.5 loafs of bread. Deflation - I can buy 2 loafs of bread.

This is why Nostradamus was one of the best at prediction, all of his predictions were incredibly vague when you look at them objectively and can be twisted to foretold almost any major world event.

I'm not sure how the taxes work but wouldn't it be kind of like buying shares as a company that made good profits. It's not free money in the eyes of the tax office.

But Facebook and Youtube and Gmail run perfectly on 5 years old hardware - probably even much older. Why would anyone need 16GB RAM or a blazing fast SSD for web browsing or other simple tasks that even phones with much worse specs can do t

I once used this type of a list to go through job postings and list the most in-demand skills companies are looking for. On a larger scale that for example would be a good resource.

An image file that you can display with one line of code is a really good abstraction for displaying images. What on earth is the point of this?

I really like his articles but the website is awful. Everything is blurry and the scrolling is broken. On HN when I scroll down once, it goes to the next comment, on this site it literally scrolls 1 pixel down.

Everything in your life doesn't have to turn into a business. I love programming and making games and solving problems, it's just as much of a hobby alongside work as going for a run in the forest.

This rubs me the wrong way for some reason. Maybe it just sounds really pretentious(?) In the end front-end (or any other) development exists to create services for the users, not for it's own sake as a philosophy or something.
