Just a matter of curiosity: do people really think the Sky OpenAI voice is similar to ScarJo? While they both vary pitch a lot, Scarlett also adds great dimension by shifting rapidly between different tone qualities. Tone variation seems to

Personally, I liked it when email threads followed the Usenet "laws". https://jkorpela.fi/usenet/laws.html Most of the best discussions I've had online followed those rules. (OTOH, those rules are writte

Don't you think that is a very cynical view? The party or parties you disagree with may not share your views, but they do have many things in common with you. In order to build bridges with other parties, it's important to believe

Hmm, what I want is to run WASM using a CPython extension. CPython extensions are vital to Python. I'm curious why you say an extension is against the spirit of it.

Exactly. Employee A adds a feature and adds security policies X and Y to prevent abuse. Employee B adds another feature and disables policy X because it conflicts with the new feature and policy Y is still in place. Employee C adds some fun

From a security perspective, a web browser is a kind of VM hypervisor, where each web site may have its own VMs. So yes, everyone can be affected.

I'm not disagreeing. The point I'm trying too make is that humans can't be copied today , yet when AGI arrives, it will be copyable on day one. That difference means that current human morals and ethics may not be very appli

If we ever do find a way to copy humans (including their full mental state), I suspect all law and culture will be upended. We'll have to start over from scratch.

I wouldn't dismiss that scenario. It seems plausible that the documentation is so extensive that it takes time and effort to answer some questions. It might be easier to just ask the authors, if they're still around.
