This doesn't do a good job of supporting its thesis. The new syntax does in fact allow most devs who understand "traditional" class based inheritance to use JS the way they expect. The fact that it's implemented in JS is

Yeah I had this thought too. Also, it seems like the proportion you lose would be less important than what's left, which they don't say they factored in.

When I was a kid, the record we cared about was flight time, not distance. We'd build planes that would gently circle and throw them straight up in the air. Distance seems to have more to do with the arm, to me.

Social Media is so obviously bad for you/society and good only for platform owners and advertisers. Most obvious thing in the world. To me, it's not at all obvious that crack addiction is, socially, any different.

Yeah. It's really obviously terrible. I don't understand the social media fad at all. (I'm 31 and used Facebook at college until they rolled out the news feed which was clearly evil)

Not mentioned is the height issue. My car is pretty low to the ground. A pickup or large SUV with even 75th percentile brightness, "dipped" is still directly into my eyes. So there's the brightness wars, and also an arms race

Remember that handful of friends who weren't on FB and so you hassled us to join for a while and then kind of lost touch? Many of us still have the same phone numbers.

Facebook is actually bad for you, and a bad actor in society. If we can't see that because we're addicted to it, maybe it's worth turning a blind eye to just a little more bullshit; whatever it takes to get us out of social n

These games don't make you happy, they addict you to short term dopamine dumps. The games are engineered to reward spending money. After quitting WoW, I realized it was a waste of time. During my addiction, I would have used this argum

Forks are clones that live on GitHub, with some access control. PRs are native to GitHub, but I can send you an email Requesting that you Pull from my remote. The Linux kernel team still emails patches I think. Issues are a GitHub thing.
