In short, what this guy is saying is correct...but only for major mobile software houses. (Which I assume you guys aren't part of) Here's the longer version: I've been a mobile software developer for 6 years. I've written software for BREW

Sadly, Twitter is the best we can get right now. Does this mean we should ignore it? Absolutely not. Should we trust it without question? No way. We as a culture need to get used to "pseudo-news" chatter that we get from twitter. It's

This further validates my longstanding theory that the winner of any argument won't be the person who's right, it'll be the person who thinks they are right the most.

Haven't we heard this 'You will have to pay on the internet' many many times before? Why is this time any different?

Sadly, the extra 200$ is a fair price. They recoup that money over the course of your contract... Perhaps they could prorate the discount for the amount of time you're through your term? Further, the only reason they were able to offer the

Go to the gym every morning. Ride a bike, get active. For some reason an 8-10 hour day in a chair is nearly unbearable unless I've done some sort of activity in the mornings. It may be a low risk thing to try.

In theory I agree with you. Censorship is not good. What I guess we disagreeing over is the 'level' of bad. Torture or murder is evil, censorship, in this case, is just silly and clearly a mistake. (As they've now reversed their stance)

Evil might be a bit strong of a word for such a simple misunderstanding. The tendency to go for extremes in debate is well known, but it tends to destroy any ability to talk about the problem. In reality, AT&T is probably calling some

Sadly, having been in the mobile industry for the past 6 years, Apple treats its developers much better than any of the previous stores have. This isn't to say that this kind of behavior is right, it just helps to have a little perspective.

Your QA guy (if you're lucky enough to have one) is you best friend in whole wide world. When he/she finds bugs in your code...hug them and buy them beer, because your users/clients could have found them instead.
