This is the actual result of a broken political system, riddled with misinformation and special interests. Profit over people. This mortality figure is a disgrace, especially with the longevity technology we now have in humanity.

I really like “the great extinction” More punchy. More descriptive of actual events. “Climate drift” sounds like the name of an AI bot, made specifically to create a narrative that underplays the seriousness and gravity of the extremely dan

Totally agree. I am considering this exact point in a business decision. It comes down to the use of the token. If the token is being used to capitalise the business activity then it is better to be a mature and compliant financial instrume

Yes, the ideas are not new. but they are not bullshit. as someone who also has kids that spend money on virtual goods like it’s going out of fashion, i can attest that the impact on my bank account is very real. The NFT craze (and cryptocur

Physics is a rule set that never changes, hence engineering standards can be built around it. Qualitative systems like programming languages have an immeasurable amount of variation and complexity and are extremely difficult to monitor and

I was watching the ISS live feed going over North West Africa and up to Italy. The landscape was red and arid and it struck me just how ‘Mars like’ it looked. It got me thinking that Earth could be facing the same destiny many aeons from no

A true and fair democracy would ensure that all candidates had the same economic means to broadcast their policies. Yes, that means giving unsavoury parties a platform. Yes, that means state sponsored political party advertising and messagi

What if the cure was to not stare at a screen all the time? Pretty obvious, despite the gains in other areas, technology is having a significant and largely detrimental effect to the mental health of all generations. Not even to mention tha

Bitcoin is not digital gold. Bitcoin is an extremely expensive and uncensorable method of value transfer. Nano is more like digital gold as it can be passed from hand to hand with no fee, but like Bitcoin has a fixed deflationary supply.

Absolutely. And of course new sectors that are not established can seem like snake oil, simply because they are new industries. The internet has steamrollered many industries and fundamentally changed the way they work. Manufacturing, Music

And they would eventually find https://Nano.org , a totally green, fast and fee-less alternative to Bitcoin. (Which has seen a price jump of 60% since the announcement).

This paper is very considered. But it does not consider that these questions have all been addressed in other cryptocurrencies like Nano (nano.org), which is a far more usable system than Bitcoin. Especially now that “Time as a currency” sp

PoS doesn’t work for money. It works as system of value transfer for the wealthy at best. Ask the millions of stranded wallets that can’t move funds because of fees. The other arguments around centralisation are moot then, if you can’t actu

Bitcoin is not money. It’s a system of value transfer. Nano is money, as you and I know it. Nakomoto Coefficient of nano is on a par or higher than bitcoin without the centralising forces behind mining and the insane fees.
