I'm afraid this does not appear to work on my system (Ubuntu 16.04, 64bit). None of the key combos work (Shift-ctrl-` etc.), and dropping an image just crashes it. And I was all geared up for karateka...

We "prefer" to call that a "TV License" because if we called it "tax" it would have negative connotations. It is also paid separately to "tax".

He lost me right at the beginning, with "I guess there wasn’t even Microsoft DOS at the time (I guess and I don’t bother to check, so check it yourself).". This is the OS equivalent of a Call of Duty teenage online player on XBox

Carbon X1 - hands down, no doubt, go for it. Get the 4th gen and you can max it to 16gb ram. Otherwise you're limited to 8GB. Excellent linux support (which I need), fantastic resolution, I love the keyboard. Touchpad can be a bit too

You're missing out. Its got a learning curve just like the original but its easier for us who grew up with it. The game is as good as Elite was back then. And they keep adding stuff so there is a "story" element to it. Its in

Elite is the galactic time sink. I used to play it on Amiga when i was younger. Reached Elite, lost childhood. Then as I got older I used to play it on my Palm V. Got very far, lost productivity. Today I play dangerous and try to adult mys

Very nice. I use a set of bash functions to do the same thing, with tab-autocompletion (not my own development, I picked it up from the web somewhere long ago). Put this in your .bashrc: # mark/jump support + completion # un

I use uuid as primary key when I plan for scale and future sharding. It's negligible performance hit of at all and I can move entire datasets from one db to another without worrying about references.

I recommend going for the thinkpad carbon x1, it's the same form factor of Mac air, looks better in my opinion and has one of the best keyboards on a laptop that size, not to mention it's developer friendly (has actual page up

I would really like to see a real world useful application done in react native. Nothing too arty, but more functional, business like even. Something that goes beyond an app for an event or an art project.

Not really. Because its python, its all Python devs. But if you want someone with specific Django experience, you'll find it easier to find than flask. Popularity wins and Django is popular (for a good reason)

There was a port of DRF for Flask, but it was not as mature and not as good. I went with Django mainly because of the included batteries and in particular DRF.

Very interesting and great name, however - should we expect a cease and desist order soon for using what is likely a trademarked name? There was a MacGyver film in the works a while back, though I'm not sure what the status of it is.
